The band performed on CD UK last weekend and they played Dream On 3 times and I feel Loved 2 times , Dave voice seemed to be really brilliant , Martin played Acoustic guitar and Andy playing synth and Christian Eigner on Drums. The guitar, drums and vocals were live for Dream on. Before playing I feel loved Andy announced that "the next track is a bit more dancey". the only live element to I feel loved were the vocals , the rest was recorded. Both versions will be used probably for different show for each single release . news thanks to Pete + Spooks

The UK magazine Uncut will feature about 20 pages only about Depeche Mode on their April release.

Depeche were at Top of the pops on Monday 26th April , DM recorded Dream On for Top of the Pops, except vocals it was playback and Fletch was interviewed, and it is available at there website at

are the tracklistings of the CD's that will be released for Dream On |

"Exciter", Depeche Mode's 12th full length studio album was produced by Mark Bell and engineered by Gareth Jones. Pre-production and additional production was provided by Gareth Jones and Paul Freegard. The album was mixed by Steve Fitzmaurice. "Exciter" was recorded at the following studios: Rak and Sarm West in London, Sound Design in Santa Barbara, and Electric Lady and Sony in New York. Studio Assistants credited are as follows: Boris Aldridge, Andrew Davies, Andrew Griffiths, Nick Sevilla, Lisa Butterworth, Jonathan Alder, Alisa Myhowich, and James Chang. Additional musicians used on "Exciter" are: Knox Chandler on the solo cello for "When The Body Speaks"; Todd C. Reynolds, Joyce Hammann, Natalie Cenovia Cummins, Ralph Farris, Leo Grinhauz on strings for "When The Body Speaks". Airto Moreira on percussion for "I Feel Loved" and "Freelove". Christian Eigner played on drums for "I Am You". |

here is the official press announcement for the video Dream On : Having memorably
covered the rock classic "Route 66" a few years ago, DEPECHE MODE found
themselves on the historic American road over the weekend (February
17-18), shooting the video in the frigid desert for "Dream On," set
as the upcoming first single from their EXCITER album, due in stores
May 15 (Mute/Reprise Records). Working for the first time with esteemed
director Stephane Sednaoui, DEPECHE MODE's DAVE GAHAN, MARTIN GORE and
ANDREW FLETCHER are seen traveling in a classic black Lincoln Continental
near Barstow (in between Los Angeles and Las Vegas), as the mysterious
atmosphere unfolds around them. Sednaoui has lots of experimental post-production
work to do on the video that "we're all anxious to see," notes FLETCHER.
"When he initially sent over his treatment for the video, it was clear
he grasped the different moods of the song," says GORE. Seen driving
the car is GAHAN, who reveals that "Martin and Andrew are my passengers,
but the viewer won't know for sure if they're truly in the car with
me." It all sounds as mysterious as the song itself, which contrasts
skittering beats with acoustic guitars and lyrics like "It sucked you
in, it dragged you down/To where there is no hallowed ground/Where holiness
is never found." "Dream On" goes to radio in mid-March, with the video
to follow shortly thereafter. |
