20 years Birthday of the release of the first Depeche Mode single on 20/02/1981 : "Dreaming Of Me"

The contest winner of the KROQ show told some details of what he assited during the shooting of "Dream On" here is the FULL REPORT

David Gahan was the guest today of the show of Kevin and Bean at KROQ radio, where he answered some questions about EXCITER and Dream On ( which was played in complete during the show) he was received after Dave Grohl ( Foo Fighters, ex Nirvana) and before Radiohead. Talking about Mark Bell he admited on how Alan Wilder used to put the final direction to the album and songs, that Mark Bell had to do also now and how some songs are in complete Depeche Mode style or not. For the title Exciter, it was Martin Gore who came up with the name that they choose among different ones they had written on a wall. Dave hopes all fans take the songs as a overall picture ending with Goodnight lovers Stéphane Sednaoui is the video director of Dream On , he also worked with Bjork ,U2 , Red Hot Chili peppers and more... the video of Dream On is about David driving around the desert , having some sorts of Flashbacks

Exclusive NEWS about the new DM ALBUM : Exciter
On the official website you will find from now on New samples of Depeche Mode's new album EXCITER , you'll find right now songs like Dream On , Sweetest Condition, When the body speaks , Shine in real audio and in mp3 format and you'll get all DM songs until February 5th.

	DEPECHE MODE will be back in store in May with Exciter , eleventh studio album studio after Ultra in 1997. The album, recorded in Santa Barbara, New York and London, is being mixed now and the producing has been made by Mark Bell, the other half of the english guys from LFO and coproducer of the last two Björk albums , Homogenic and Selmasongs. Exciter will be first preceded by a single in April, Dream On , the first since 3 years. From what writer Martin Gore says , this album will be "always a bit dark but more refreshing ". We will pay attention to The Sweetest Condition , "a big groove with psychedelic and mysterious sounds ", When The Body Speaks, Breath, Goodnight Lovers and the single Dream On, "with very catchy beats and acoustic guitar ". From what the singer Dave Gahan says , "the songs of the enw album could have been tracks of Depeche mode written druing their whole career. It's quite like a Greatest Hits of songs never released". And that's the founder of the label Tricatel, Bertrand Burgalat himself , who's been asked to remix one of tracks of Exciter, Reminiscent Drive , called now D.M. ----- thanks to Woody and Eric Mohier for that news.
Mute has recently released the Singles 81>85 and the Singles 86>98 in mini disc format
