Martin Gore has been recently Interviewed during his promotion around Euorp for his new album and here's an extract translated from a swedish magazine , translated by Per :

"Martin admits that this can mean that the band has released it's last record.
- Obviously there are uncertain factors. Dave has never made a solo recorded before and we haven't talked about recording another album. At the same time I'm optimistic".
Q: "Is there a risk that DM quits?"
M: "There is always a risk. Since 1996 I've said that I can't guarantee that there will be another DM ablum.".
"I hope that we can continue as long as we enjoy it and create innovative, relevant music. It would be awful if to become the Rolling Stones of synthpop."
About Counterfeit 2:
I´ve had this album in my head for ten years now. When Dave decided that he would go solo, I got the time to finally record C2. The album contains 11 songs that has touched him deeply. When I was young I loved cover albums. They gave the fans a key to the source of inspiration that their idol had. It also broadened their view of music. Now I´m doing the same for my fans.
